Texas state law requires most HOA’s to bid out for ALL contracts/agreements that will total $50,000.00 or more. This same requirement applies to renewals as well. Some companies try to avoid this by lowballing their monthly contract rate, then hitting you with all kinds of fees to make up for it. Be very careful of companies that require an automatic renewal in their contracts! Legitimate companies that provide excellent service do not need to resort to those kind of tactics to keep clients.
